quedUpRadio

with Myron Guthrie

Talk Show

Independent and Unsigned Radio, hot topics interviews and community involvement.

QuedUp Radio, since its inception in 2007, has been breaking barriers to bring you the latest in music. In its infancy, QuedUp Radio was a blog on MySpace. Shortly after a hand injury and an inability to perform, Myron Guthrie aka Yaboiqued, was approached by the associates of the BlogTalkRadio network. He was asked to beta test QuedUP Radio. Its current format of hot topics, community service, as well as awesome independent and unsigned artists was cemented in those early days. QuedUp Radio was the first show of its kind to offer varied music coupled with interviews and reviews. Breaking barriers and its hiatus, QuedUp Radio is excited to bring their show to two FM stations as a one minute segment on Americana station, WHAY 98.3 and as a full length show on University of Kentucky student led Alternative radio, WRFL 88.1. Host,Yaboiqued: At a time when various music styles are experiencing a need for style reinvention, artist Yaboiqued continues to introduce us to dynamic sounds and originality. Born to a musically talented family, Yaboiqued learned how to play the drums, piano, string instruments, and music production using MIDI programs by the age of 12. When a family friend offered Myron Guthrie an apprenticeship, he advanced his skills and by the time he turned 15 he was producing music for local recording acts of multiple musical genres and at 19, spinning records in local nightclubs. Looking for new experiences, Yaboiqued relocated to San Diego in 1997 where he continued to produce music. This caught the attention of Don Lithgow, owner of DML Studios who offered him an internship as the studio manager, in house producer, and engineer. Along with this opportunity, Yaboiqued had a chance to work with acts such as Static X, P.O.D., and Blink 182. In 2001, Yaboiqued relocated to Connecticutt to begin his first self-produced film, Underneath Right Now. The biographical film followed a limited release of his album, which shares the same title. The film aired locally and was critiqued by The New Haven Advocate. That same year, Yaboiqued composed and produced “Blue in Between”, featuring Pop Artist/Actress Leah West. The song was added to the soundtrack for the film “Business Trip” and directed by Mark Mascolo. Yaboiqued also performed at the Third Eye Open Hip Hop Festival in Boston, MA, which yielded a crowd capacity of over 3500. He also performed as the opening act for Jim Jones at the Webster Theater. Yaboiqued is currently managing various productions in addition to projects of his own, including his internet radio show on BlogTalkRadio and two FM stations (Americana WHAY 98.3 FM and Alternative WRFL 88.1 FM). The show continues to play independent and unsigned artists, as well as musical reviews, hot topics, and community projects. While music lovers are thirsty for something different, Yaboiqued presents listeners with art and expressions that are original and cutting edge. WE ARE WHERE YOU ARE!
