WRFL is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated return of SlimeStone on Monday, September 2nd, as a highlight of the University of Kentucky’s Labor Stay weekend festivities. Voted Event of the Year in 2023, SlimeStone is a vibrant celebration designed to engage both students and community members alike.
This year’s event promises an exciting lineup of music and local shops! From 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, participants are invited to visit the WRFL Station in the Gatton Student Center to pick up a scavenger hunt card. This fun and engaging activity encourages attendees to explore the nearby participating businesses (CD Central and the Album) and uncover hidden gems around the community. Once participants have visited participating locations and completed their punch cards, they can return their cards to the Cat’s Den (located in the Gatton Student Center near the station) to receive a free WRFL SlimeStone shirt.
In addition to the scavenger hunt there will also be performances by local artists Brighton Place and Buck the Taxidermist in the Cat’s Den located in the Gatton Student Center. Anonimuss Rose will be performing at CD Central and DJ Tommy Mizla will be at the Album.
