Flooding from late February’s storms have severely impacted communities in Eastern Kentucky, forcing residents to evacuate their homes and leaving many people in need of support. If you’d like to help out, below is a list of mutual aid groups and relief organizations supporting residents affected by the flooding. The University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service is collecting items and providing relief efforts for Kentuckians impacted by recent floods.
The Wolfe County Extension office is serving as the collection site for Eastern Kentucky counties impacted by flooding. On campus, extension will collect supplies at the UK College of Agriculture, Food and Environment’s Agriculture Distribution Center.

Any person or group wishing to make a donation of funds, supplies or even their volunteer labor, can reach out to 606-663-0544 from 8 AM – 4 PM on Monday through Friday, or 606-663-7560 after hours to leave a message. Please note that any donation is welcome, but we are asking currently to please refrain from donating clothing as we have received a substantial amount already. Likewise, if you are in need of assistance, please use these same numbers to reach out and determine what assistance may be available to you.
